BARCLAYS CONFIRMS SUPPORT FOR ENTERPRISE AWARDS 2017

We are delighted to announce that Barclays is to be the major partner of the Trust’s Enterprise Awards 2017. This investment builds on the bank’s support for the 2016 event and is a welcome boost for the awards, which are now in their twelfth year.

As well as supporting the overall event, Barclays will also be presenting the prestigious Award for Innovation, which has previously been won by organisations such as Immunotec and Mirada Medical.

The Oxford Trust Enterprise Awards recognise and celebrate the region’s best innovative companies and individual entrepreneurs, ranging from those involved in groundbreaking life sciences, cutting- edge engineering and boundary pushing digital technologies.

The awards acknowledge the fledgling entrepreneurs and start-ups who are just beginning their journey in the world of innovation as well as appreciating the more established companies who have already had a major impact in the enterprise arena.

The Barclays Award for Innovation is given to an organisation (based in our region) that has distinguished its self  in the market by spotting an opportunity in a niche market and creating a new product that not only meets this need but also benefits society and the economy. The award is for a company that has been running for five years or more and have an established management team and staff.

The 2016 winner of the innovation award was Harwell-based business Adaptix, which has developed life-changing portable (and affordable) x-ray equipment that takes the machine to the patient rather than the other way round.
