Networking Spaces at OCFI

Finding reasonably-priced centrally-located spaces in Oxford for meetings can be a real challenge, which is why the Trust has two venues at the Oxford Centre for Innovation (OCFI) specifically for networking and meet-up groups: Make Oxford and The POD. Both spaces are suitable for formal and informal networking events for groups of up to 60 people.

Our mission is to encourage the pursuit of science and enterprise so we are especially keen to hear from local tech meet-up groups looking for a regular venue for meetings. There are opportunities to hire our meet-up spaces for FREE if you meet the criteria here.

Make Oxford

The basement meeting space is ideal for workshops and meetings for:

  • Up to 32 people seated at tables
  • Up to 50 people seated without tables
  • Up to 60 people standing

It has the following facilities:

  • WiFi
  • Projector
  • Kitchen


The POD is a stylish space on the 1st floor of the Oxford Centre for Innovation. It has a main conference or meeting room and an adjoining breakout space with boardroom-style seating for 8. It is perfect for meet-ups, presentations and drinks receptions, and can accommodate:

  • Up to 40 people seated theatre style
  • Up to 60 people standing

It has the following facilities:

  • WiFi
  • AV
  • Kitchen

Please note: During office hours The POD is set up as a drop-in office space so the facility is only available after 5.30pm.

Availability Calendar

The calendar shows evening availability Monday to Friday after 5.30PM. Weekends are regularly booked up with Science Oxford’s live programme science clubs, but occasionally may become available so please do contact us with any enquiries.
