The Oxford Trust is pleased to have appointed three new trustees to its Board. David Llewellyn, formerly of DJS Antibodies, Tatiana Grudskaya, a senior executive at Immunocore, and David Carr, an experienced chief financial officer, have joined the Board.

Scientist and entrepreneur, David Llewellyn will bring a wealth of experience in life sciences and biotechnology. As a co-founder of DJS Antibodies, a successful start-up company acquired by AbbVie in October 2022, his entrepreneurial background and understanding of the local innovation ecosystem make him a valuable addition to the Board.

Tatiana Grudskaya, a highly experienced VP and senior executive at Immunocore, will strengthen the Trust’s governance team with her extensive experience in finance, operations and strategic planning. Her insights into working for a successful life sciences company will help guide the Trust in its mission to support the region’s thriving science and tech community.

David Carr is an experienced chief financial officer and will take on the role of leading the Board’s Finance Committee as Paul Dean will step down. David brings a strong background in financial and operational management for start-ups and growing businesses with significant experience in venture capital.

These new appointments reflect the Trust’s ongoing commitment to championing innovation, science education and engagement across Oxfordshire.

Steve Burgess, chief executive officer, The Oxford Trust, said: “We are pleased to welcome David Carr, Tatiana Grudskaya and David Llewellyn to the Board. Their expertise and vision will play a crucial role in furthering our mission to “encourage the pursuit of science” within the region. They bolster our already exceptional Board for which I extend my sincere thanks for their continued commitment to our mission.

We are extremely grateful to Paul Dean for his wise counsel over the last nine years, helping to guide the Trust through some of its most exciting and challenging times.

These new appointments represent an exciting step forward in our 40th anniversary year as we continue to grow our impact.”

David Llewellyn, trustee, said: “I was enormously lucky to have my eyes opened to the world of science as a young kid, and to receive ongoing support as I attempted to subsequently build a career in scientific innovation. As such, it’s a great privilege to work with The Oxford Trust which provides this support to tomorrow’s scientists and innovators, from the education and inspiration of young people, through to supporting exciting new companies.”
