The Oxford Trust is looking for an experienced education professional with a passion for inspiring the next generation about Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) for the role of Head of Education.
Central to The Oxford Trust’s Education and Engagement team, the Head of Education will lead the Science Oxford outreach education staff and programme portfolio, which caters primarily for 3-11 year-olds and includes extensive STEM outreach delivery (workshops and shows) in primary schools across Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire, as well as a comprehensive science-based continuing professional development offering for primary school teachers. The role will also include overseeing the redevelopment and delivery of the STEM careers programme for secondary-aged students (ages 11-18), which aims to raise STEM career aspirations and enhance STEM skills.
The job would suit an individual with a primary teacher qualification, STEM-related experience and someone who can demonstrate strong leadership and management skills. A track record of leading teacher professional development activity would be advantageous.
