I’m really excited to have joined the team at The Oxford Trust and play a part in encouraging the pursuit of science in the region. The educational work we do with children, either on site at the Science Oxford Centre or as part of our educational outreach, is not only inspirational but also world class. The impact and positive impressions an interaction with the dedicated team at Science Oxford could have on young minds, on young adult minds looking for career inspiration, and on teachers looking for inspiration on teaching science cannot be undervalued and I look forward to supporting these efforts in any way I can.
My last role was COO for a MedTech business spun out of Oxford University, which is particularly relevant to this role as I understand the importance of being part of a thriving ecosystem of experts, advisors, supporting industries and services to help ‘make the magic happen’. I’m keen to ensure The Oxford Trust plays its full part in promoting businesses within the STEM sector.
Outside of work you’ll find me supporting Bridewell Gardens, a Mental Health Recovery service based in West Oxfordshire in as Trustee, walking ‘Monty’ our Weimaraner, in the Kitchen cooking (or mixing a cocktail if after 6pm!), or (trying!) to spend time with my two boys.
