The Oxford Trust is planning to create a new science education centre and innovation centre for the Oxford region, set in 18-acres of woodland. The new centre is located at Stansfeld Park, in Headington, just to the east of the city centre, close to the Oxford Brookes University and the city’s health and data sciences quarter.
The science education centre will be the UK’s first such centre for primary-aged children to inspire learning about science and exploration of the natural world. The innovation centre will be home to a number of grow-on science innovation businesses. And for the community, there’ll be access to the woodland, a café and the theatre, and use of the facilities for local groups, such as forest schools.
