Volunteer with us

Volunteering is a great way to ‘give something back’ to people and communities in our region. There are several different ways that you can volunteer with us:

Help conserve our woodland

We are fortunate to have a wonderful 15-acre woodland on the site of the Wood Centre for Innovation and Science Oxford Centre, comprising several large ponds, woods and grassland which are home to a variety of wildlife. Managing the site for its inhabitants and the educational activities we run involves a lot of work and we can offer you the chance to get involved. We run conservation days one Sunday each season in association with the Oxford Conservation Volunteers (OCV), as well as smaller monthly weekday sessions to pick up other tasks around the site.

If these sound of interest to you please get in touch for more details or to go on our mailing list, by contacting: [email protected]

Support our Science Oxford activities

Our Science Oxford team runs a range of education, engagement and conservation programmes that you can get involved in throughout the year. These include science clubs, computing clubs, our STEM Careers programme, Family Days, and holiday activities. Our volunteers come from a variety of backgrounds, but they have plenty in common too, including a willingness to give up their time to support an organisation they believe in, an interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths (STEM) or conservation and an enthusiasm for sharing their interest with others.
